A Declaration of Gospel Faith from 1 Corinthians 15

Declaration of Faith: "Because He Lives, I Stand"

I declare today…
I am not defined by what is fading, I am anchored in what is eternal.

I believe the gospel…
that Jesus Christ died for my sins,
that He was buried,
and that He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures.
And because He lives… I live.

I am not standing on opinion,
I am standing on resurrection reality.

Death is not my destiny.
The grave is not my ending.
Fear is not my master.

I declare…
this body may be perishable, but it will be raised imperishable.
What is sown in weakness will be raised in power.
What is sown in dishonor will be raised in glory.

I have borne the image of the man of dust…
but I will bear the image of the Man of heaven.

I declare…
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, I will be changed.
Mortality will put on immortality.
Corruption will put on incorruption.

And because of Jesus…
death has lost its sting.
The grave has lost its victory.
Sin has lost its power over me.

Thanks be to God…
He has given me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ.

So I will not live in fear.
I will not live distracted.
I will not live half-committed.

I will be steadfast.
I will be immovable.
I will abound in the work of the Lord.

Because I know…
my labor is not in vain.
My future is secure.
My Savior is alive.

And I declare with boldness today…

Because He rose…
I stand.
Because He lives…
I will live.
And because victory is already won…
I will live like it.
