  • Calls the man “Son”
  • Declares: “Your sins are forgiven”

Key Themes:

  • Purpose: “that you may know”
  • Jesus claims authority to forgive sins
  • Command: “Rise, take up your bed, and go”
  • Immediate obedience
  • Complete transformation
  • Public evidence, visible change
  • Crowd response: amazement and glorifying God

Key Themes:

  • Visible miracle confirms invisible authority
  • Obedience activates transformation
  • Identity shifts from carried to carrier
  • Real change is evident

Probing Application:

  • What has Jesus told you to get up from?
  • Are you still lying on the mat?
  • What would obedience look like today?
  • Does your life show transformation?

CLOSING LANDING

  • You are in the story (paralytic, carriers, or crowd)
  • Jesus prioritizes the soul over the situation
  • Authority of Jesus demands a response

Final Calls:

  • Trust Him with your deepest need
  • Submit to His authority
  • Respond with immediate obedience

Final Question:

  • What are you going to do with Jesus?

CORE THREAD (REPEAT THROUGHOUT)

  • We want relief, Jesus brings redemption
  • We focus on the visible, Jesus addresses the invisible
  • The issue is not ability, it is authority
  • Faith moves, surrender responds, obedience proves
