- Truth: only God forgives sins
- Problem: they reject Jesus’ authority
- Jesus perceives their thoughts
- Jesus confronts their hearts
- Question: “Which is easier?”

- Jesus claims authority to forgive sins
- Command: “Rise, take up your bed, and go”
- Immediate obedience
- Complete transformation
- Public evidence, visible change
- Crowd response: amazement and glorifying God
Key Themes:
- Visible miracle confirms invisible authority
- Obedience activates transformation
- Identity shifts from carried to carrier
- Real change is evident
Probing Application:
- What has Jesus told you to get up from?
- Are you still lying on the mat?
- What would obedience look like today?
- Does your life show transformation?

- You are in the story (paralytic, carriers, or crowd)
- Jesus prioritizes the soul over the situation
- Authority of Jesus demands a response

- Trust Him with your deepest need
- Submit to His authority
- Respond with immediate obedience
