Theme: Assurance in Christ, evidence through obedience

- Christ satisfied God’s wrath fully (v.2)
- Knowing God is proven through obedience (v.3)
- Claim without obedience equals deception (v.4)
- Obedience reveals transformation (v.5)
- Standard: walk as Jesus walked (v.6)
Application Steps:
- Examine your obedience, not just your beliefs
- Reject using grace as permission to sin
- Identify areas of known disobedience
- Align your daily life with Christ’s example
Punch Line:
- You prove you know Jesus by how you live
SEGMENT 2: LOVE IS NOT OPTIONAL (1 John 2:7–11)

- Refocus on what has eternal value
Punch Line:
- If your identity is in Christ, your appetite for the world should decrease
SEGMENT 4: ABIDE IN TRUTH (1 John 2:18–29)
Theme: Real faith remains grounded in truth
Key Points:
- Urgency: deception is active now (v.18)
- Not all who leave were truly rooted (v.19)
